What things should we be teaching our children and what should wait until they discover it themselves? As a mother, I wonder about this all the time. This new generation of spiritually connected children is called either: rainbow, crystal, or Indigo children.
For them what does it mean to be connected? They are coming into our world with higher vibrations and a better understanding of how the world energetically works. They want to be authentic, creative and self-expressive. Their wants and needs are different from the generations that came before them. Since we are on a different vibrational level than them, we need to find a way to bridge the gap.
Allow them to lead when it comes to spirituality. Let their curiosity run wild and discover new thought patterns with them. Please allow for their authentic selves to shine through into this sometimes bleak world. Since they are more spiritual, they will need good grounding practices and moments for quietness and stillness. To readjust and listen to their inner selves.
Things To Teach
As spiritual parents, how do we share our beliefs safely and authentically? Just start small.
- I taught my children how the Chakra system works and where they are located on the body.
- Children love crystals, so offer them some. Take them to a store and let them pick. Teach them about the crystals properties.
- Schools now teach Yoga in class, to help them relax and focus. It also helps move the stagnant energy inside them.
- Show them where their emotions can get trapped and how to handle their emotions in a healthy way.
- We already use colour therapy and music to calm or energize our children. They just need the added spiritual understanding on how we use them.
- Teach and practice Unconditional Love. Show them what No Strings Attached Love really looks and feels like.
Let’s do our best to help them fill in the blanks. Keep it short and simple. Only teach them what they need to know at the moment. Make it fun and add some wonder back into life. I can truly say to my children that I believe in Fairies, as they do.
